Hamit Altintop out until new year

By: Angela | December 5th, 2007

Bayern Munich will be without midfielder Hamit Altintop due to knee surgery that was held on Tuesday. Altintop had to have cartilage repaired in his right knee. He will miss the team’s final two Bundesliga games against Duisburg and Hertha Berlin as well as their UEFA cup match against Aris Thessaloniki. Bayern will hit their winter break after these matches and return after that. Altintop is expected to return in the new year.

Man, too bad. I’ve always been a fan of the altintop twins. (Altintop means “golden balls” in Turkish. No kidding)

This is awful news, he’s my favorite player on the team. The only thing keeping him from being a dominant player is uncooperative cartilage! Get well soon Hamit!

Does this mean Halil has faulty knees also?
