Jan: Yeah I was just getting ready to post about that. I seen that he is ill.

On the Mark van Bommel subject, I’m with Juliet… he’ll have to have a far worse injury to keep him off the pitch. I think the only thing, aside from a suspension, that could keep him from playing is if he were bleeding from the eyes. He’s stubborn like that.

It’d take more than a bruised toe to keep MvB off the pitch. But with that injury list, I imagine the lineup will be something like… Rensing; Lell, Lucio, Demichelis, Jansen; Altintop, Van Bommel, Roberto, Ribéry; Wagner, Toni

Subs: Schlaudraff (?), Ottl, Van Buyten, Kroos

Um… is Schlaudraff fit? Didn’t they ran him out the other week? I could be making that up…

Anyway, I’m glad Rensing is getting another chance to show his quality. He’s had to wait long enough while keepers like Neuer break through at an even younger age.

Seems Podolski will definitively miss the UEFA Cup match against Belenenses. He picked up a flu. Very prominent injury list there: Klose, Kahn, Podolski, van Bommel, Lahm and some others. I hope we don’t have to worry about Bayern on Thursday.
