Everyone rags on the Eredivision that it isn’t good enough, but people don’t seem to understand that players don’t become amazing overnight. Most players begin in a “development” league of which the Eredvision is arguably the best and you can buy them cheap and they can become superstars (maybe not in Braafheid’s case as he is already 26). If you’re buying players from Italy, Spain, England then you’re going to have to pay a lot more. Braafheid for 2 million fills a role we need for an excellent price. 2 million for a Dutch National starter seems like a good pick up. That said, I haven't seen the guy play, and it seems Spurs and PSV were hot after him as well. In any event, I think Lell is out no matter what.
