Luke: I should've said it sooner right? ;)
The same thing happened during the game yesterday as well with Mark. I was telling a friend that he needed to stop passing all the time and take the shot when he was open, but he just wasn't doing it. As soon as I said it, shot on goal. It obviously was stopped, but that's not the point. ;) Evidently I'm more in tune with them than I thought. ;)

Lucio must have read your comment, and willed himself to score today! Great motivational tactics, Angela!

In all honesty Luke, aside from a game here or there, I really don't see what Lucio brings to the table. I see far too many faults (not passing the ball when he should so he often turns it over to the opposition for example) in him to see where he's even useful to Bayern. Sure, he has a great game here and there, but most of the time his presence on the field is only noted when he screws up.

I have to disagree about van Buyten-he's far too passive for someone his size, and let's not forget the kind of ball-watching we saw from his last season. As I am a cynical Bayern fan, I am pretty sure Uli has suggested showcasing him so he can get a little bit better price when he moves him this summer. One kind of learns to accept that Lucio will make 3 to 4 idiotic mistakes per season (we're up to at least 2 so far this season), though he is otherwise very reliable. I have theorized many foul-ups last season occurred because Lucio and van Buyten simply could not communicate with each other.

Juliet: Lukas posted on his website that he'd had a good talk with Klinsmann and that things were good. I think that they will hang onto him. And hopefully he will see less bench time. Under Klinsmann Lukas and Miro were a great strike duo...

Jan: I don't think that Podolski will be let go. Klinsmann likes him too much. And, let's face it, under his guidance, Lukas was brilliant. Maybe we'll see a return to form when he gets his old boss back.

Aaron: Thanks for the well wishes! I am trying. :)
I think that Jansen has proven that he can perform. He has done a great job filling in for Lahm and considering that he hasn't really been missed as of late, I don't see where it would hurt them if they let him go. Schweini's lack of form has been ongoing lately and there are people who are willing to step up and fill his role. Personally, I'd hate to see van Buyten go. I think he is an incredible asset to the team and I have seen him save the team's ass on numerous occasions. The last game was proof of that. I, personally, would rather see Lucio go than van Buyten.... but that's just me. ;)

Feel better Angela! The Bayern Offside community wants you back to top form.

As for next year, I think that Bayern needs to keep all of it's players for the depth and skill they'll need to compete in the Champions League. I'm not convinced Lahm will be back with the way that Jansen is playing, and I think somebody is going to make a sizable offer for van Buyten. And Schweini may not be back, given the way he's played recently...

Well, in the worst case Podolski will just waste yet another year on Bayern's bench. Maybe Klinsmann sees a role for him in Bayern's midfield, or he doesn't trust Klose, who has regular dips in form.

That's high praise from Kahn. This year's defense is been a huge turnaround from last year. And it's remained stable no matter who is rotated, which is a good mark of team cohesion in my book.

Klinsmann seems to have vowed to hold on to Podolski. I read somewhere that he said they had an "interesting" conversation. I'm certainly interested in seeing how Klinsi can convince him to stay with Klose and Toni in the line-up...
