Jan: I don’t think that Podolski will be let go. Klinsmann likes him too much. And, let’s face it, under his guidance, Lukas was brilliant. Maybe we’ll see a return to form when he gets his old boss back.

I think that Jansen has proven that he can perform. He has done a great job filling in for Lahm and considering that he hasn’t really been missed as of late, I don’t see where it would hurt them if they let him go. Schweini’s lack of form has been ongoing lately and there are people who are willing to step up and fill his role. Personally, I’d hate to see van Buyten go. I think he is an incredible asset to the team and I have seen him save the team’s ass on numerous occasions. The last game was proof of that. I, personally, would rather see Lucio go than van Buyten…. but that’s just me.

As for next year, I think that Bayern needs to keep all of it’s players for the depth and skill they’ll need to compete in the Champions League. I’m not convinced Lahm will be back with the way that Jansen is playing, and I think somebody is going to make a sizable offer for van Buyten. And Schweini may not be back, given the way he’s played recently…

Klinsmann seems to have vowed to hold on to Podolski. I read somewhere that he said they had an “interesting” conversation. I’m certainly interested in seeing how Klinsi can convince him to stay with Klose and Toni in the line-up…
