Bayern Snapshot: Papa Poldi

By: Angela | November 4th, 2008

Lukas with his son Louis. The picture is from an interview that he gave on being such a young father. It was in German, but the gist of it was that he and Monika planned Louis, once he learned that she was pregnant, he couldn’t wait for Louis to get here and the nine months took forever. Louis now rolls onto his back and tummy so he’s afraid to leave him anywhere because he doesn’t want him to fall. He also said that he hopes to add more names under Louis’ on his wrist. He also mentioned that Louis has helped him a lot when it comes to not playing because things were always good at home, but now he’s even more excited to get home. At the end he said he was there for the birth and he cut the umbilical chord, took pictures and cried. Being a Papa certainly suits him.

And the cover, which is also a nice picture:

Ooooh, adorable pictures. From the way he acts on the field and off it, I imagine he’d be a gentle, fun dad. Lucky kid(s). :)

He’s a kid himself. I mean that in a good way. His son will be old enough to remember his career, maybe even winning the WC2010??? ;)

Juliet: The article was very cute. He’s very happy to be a dad and is looking forward to more kids. I thought it was cute that he protectively didn’t really show Louis’ face in the pictures. They’re very cute. :)

Jocamryn: I hope so. I think he’s got the right attitude about raising his boy and the other kids to come and I think that one day we’ll see little Podolski’s running around the pitch. :)

just a thought, anyone notice how when Poldi got subbed out, he didn’t sit in the “dugout”? He sat away from everyone. Interesting picture.

Now that Klinsi says he’s on the market for a new stiker, well, the writing is on the wall. They are posturing to replace poldi. I’d like to see Poldi get what he wants, but Koln cannot pay what FCB want.

Well less than an hour before the game… need to go ahead and start pounding the weizens :)

    servus!
