Nolan: I can relate. Mark is my favorite and I think Bayern would be lost without him. His ability to shore up the team when they are in trouble and his ability to take control and really make them listen is a quality that can’t really be replaced. He has a huge love for he sport and his dedication to the team he serves is a huge part of why I love him.

Aaron: Demichelis is injured. He has torn a hamstring. No word yet on when he will be back. On goal celebrations, it may be because Uli Hoeness asked his team to go easy on Aberdeen. He has said now that they didn’t listen because he asked them to stop scoring goals and they wouldnt do it, but perhaps they felt the lack of celebration was going a bit easier on them?

What a performance! I was elated for the Podolsk, who had a great game even before the goals. As you mentioned, his workrate throughout the game was terrific and he really did a lot of positive things for us. And how about Olli’s save from point-blank range near the end of the game. All I could do was laugh after thatsave.

Just about everyone was playing well, although we were a bit uncharacteristically shaky in the back. What has happened to Demechelis? For the first half of the season it was van Buyten who I never heard anything about, and now it’s Demichelis. Is there an injury that I missed?

My main criticism however: Now that we are back to scoring goals, where are the nifty goal celebrations? I’m hoping that we get some creativity going. At least the macarena or something, guys please.

Back the the dross of Liga play but honestly, I can’t wait for tomorrow and I bet the lads are energized too! Has Podolsk earned the chance to be starting XI on tomorrow’s match?
