I’m from Hungary so I was happy that Hajnal (pronounce like Hainal) had scored a fantastic free kick goal, but was really really sad because Bayern had lost the match. However, I am really curious why Philipp Lahm did not play a second. Maybe he didn’t have enough training to play.

As far as Lucio is concerned he can be blamed, for example the own goal scored in the Allianz Arena against Zenit, but I would miss him from the team if he left. I hope these “black sheep things” will be over soon in the team.

I look forward to seeing what Klopp pulls off with Dortmund and also seeing how our young Hummels performs there this season as well.

Rensing could be in contention come this time next year if he can play the way we know he’s capable of playing. I hope that he will be able to keep up the good performances from last season.

Angela: Yes, I did find your comment, thanks. If something like the Nabburg match comes up again, I’ll send a message your way as a correspondent! Believe me, the pace wasn’t any better in the first half.

On Klopp: Here’s the thing–unquestionably, he will find a way to get more out of the defense than Doll did. But that shapes up to be a really young back four (including Hummels!) so there are bound to be some growing pains. But, if they find a way to win matches 4-3 or 3-2 early on, by the end of the season they may surprise some people.

A thought on Rensing: He’s really not in the discussion for WC 2010 right now. For good reason of course, he’s hardly experienced enough. But, when you realize that neither Adler nor Enke will play in Europe this season, and Neuer really has to re-emerge, it’s interesting to think that with a solid Champions League campaign this season, Rensing could well be very much in that conversation by this time next year.

Luke – I would admit it if I had seen it. I didn’t see the whole match so I only caught a few mistakes he made. I’m not a fan, but I can admit when he has a good day. When I see it They weren’t well paced at all in the second half, but like I said I didn’t see the whole thing so I wasn’t sure if that was just because it was the second half. Did you find my comment about email?

Dortmund beat AS Rome 4-0 in a pre-season friendly last year. Euphoria. Expectations. A miserable season in the end. Though, Klopp is a much better coach than Doll, so it could end up being a good season for them after all.

I’m also looking forward to see how Bayern’s new football philosophy will take shape over the next weeks. This match didn’t really show off anything yet.

As far as I know Angela, regarding Kahn, he did trained with the squad (that is the day before this match). Kahn did also said that he won’t be at the training facilities four weeks before his testimonial.

Ok Angela, Lucio had at least a few nice tackles. No complaints on his form for July 23. I don’t expect you to admit it, just saying. We just looked slow at the back overall. And clearly the attackers are not in match shape. I also think Dortmund was taking the match a lot more seriously. I was pleased by Klinsmann’s post-game comments, which were right on the mark. Let’s see where we’re at against Inter. I do think though, that with Bremen and Stuttgart in a lot of internal turmoil and Rafinha missing for Schalke, Dortmund showed today they are a team who could be in the top of the table early on.
