On Lukas Podolski
By: Angela | October 3rd, 2007
Lukas Podolski would’ve been given a chance to show his worth at the UEFA cup match tomorrow, but alas, he won’t be flying with Bayern. He has come down with the flu and will be forced to miss Thursday’s game. Hopefully, he will be fit in time for Bayern’s matchday Sunday.
Other breaking news is according to Eurosport Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said Podolski is going nowhere.
He told newspaper TZ: “Even if Bremen make another effort to sign him - and nobody has officially contacted us so far - then it will all be in vain.
“The player will not be going anywhere in the winter break.
“We want him to be happy here, to achieve his sporting goals and to play football.”

“We want him to be happy here, to achieve his sporting goals and to play football.”
…None of which you’re actually going to any effort to enable.

Angharad: Agreed on that front. In order for a player to improve, you have to give him… playing time and the most that Lukas has been as of late is a bench warmer.

Perhaps he could be a regular starter for our UEFA games?
